“Wrestling With God: The Five Books of Moses”
is a devotional for those who can’t stop asking why. Some of us only find the truth on the other side of the struggle. But here, a love for God grows greater in the heat of the fight.

Why I Wrote This
I spent my early years taking what was taught at face value. I never read beyond the verses quoted in sermons. In my middle years, I walked away—rebelling against most things religious.
But even then, God never stopped pursuing me. It wasn't with grand gestures; it was the little things. Quiet things. And eventually—thankfully—He caught up with me.
For the first time, I started reading Scripture for myself. Really reading it. And let me tell you—what an eye-opener. Starting from Genesis, I grew increasingly upset as I read.
But I kept reading. I became concerned that if I was struggling this much
with what I was reading, others probably were too.
The first five books of the Bible aren't for the faint of heart. And if you're anything like me, you’ll hit a hard stop just a few chapters into Genesis.
This devotional is a walk through every “Wait—what?” moment I encountered in that study. My hope is that as you read and pray through this devotional, you’ll feel the stirrings of the Holy Spirit as a jealous God begins a beautiful work in you.

About the Book
This isn’t your typical devotional. It doesn’t dodge the hard parts. It walks straight into them.
This book is for those who’ve read something in Scripture and felt the tension—who’ve stopped mid-verse and thought, “Wait… what?”
It’s for readers who aren’t looking for tidy answers, but who are open to exploring deeper intent. Who are willing to wrestle with the text—honestly, patiently, and in faith.
Inside are short, accessible reflections on the first five books of the Bible. Each entry names the struggle, opens a door, and invites you to walk through it—not necessarily to resolve the mystery, but to sit with it… and grow.
